Most recently, J.K. was Executive Vice President and Division President for East Arabia at Mastercard, overseeing two of the company's largest and fastest-growing Middle East sub-regions — over $2.5 billion in combined net revenue, growing at 20%+ per annum.

During his tenure, he architected exclusive landmark partnerships with Saudi National Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank, built out multi-rail and e-commerce strategy across Arabia, orchestrated a globally significant cross-border payments vertical, and developed an industry-defining government-enablement framework for domestic payments ecosystem operators. He forged business-model-defining, global-first partnerships with central bank regulators and domestic operators across the region — including SAMA in Saudi Arabia, the CBUAE, Pakistan's SBP, Kuwait's KCB, Qatar's QCB, and Bahrain's Benefit — and co-established an AI Center of Excellence with the UAE Ministry of AI and a regional Academy Hub Center of Excellence with the Qatar government.

Before Mastercard, he co-led the financial services practice at Strategy& (Booz & Company) across wealth management, private banking, and digital transformation, and served as Chief of Staff to the MENA Managing Director at Barclays Bank.

Named for the central linking point where multiple parts, concepts, and elements intersect, Nexus Ventures reflects J.K.'s conviction that the most consequential companies of the next decade will emerge from the convergence of artificial intelligence, platformized infrastructure, and globally scalable platforms across the essential services of financial wealth, healthcare management, and legacy creation — and from understanding the long-term patterns of human behaviour and technological evolution, and how both intelligence substrates are merging into a new form of symbiotic consciousness.

J.K. is a founding member of Spade Ventures, a MENA-focused angel investing platform that has deployed capital into over 25 deals across seven years and raised more than $8M, and is active in the YPO Investing Network in MENA. He continues to angel invest and advise technology founders across the region and beyond.

The Voice

On the future of intelligence, humanity, and technology.

J.K. is a co-founder of the Futurist Summit in Dubai, which convened world-class speakers — from astrophysicist Prof. Brian Cox to renowned sci-fi author Kevin J. Anderson — in its inaugural 2026 installment. A contributor to "Bank 5.0" by futurist Brett King, he writes on AI, consciousness, and agentic ethics across platforms including his Substack. A work of creative fiction exploring human consciousness and AI ethics is pending publication.

Beyond the boardroom, J.K. is a poet, musician, singer, and painter — creative disciplines that shape how he thinks about systems, culture, and the long arc of human progress. An avid traveller and foodie, he has lived and worked across the Middle East, Europe, and North America.

Recognized on Arabian Business' Young Achievers List (2021), J.K. holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business — where he was President of the GCC Alumni Club from 2015 to 2024 — and a Computer Systems & Networks Engineering degree from Saint Joseph University in Beirut.

He is pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) focused on AI and macroeconomic sustainability at SKEMA Business School, where he will teach "AI for Wealth Management & Hedge Funds" and "Advanced Strategy" in the school's FT Top-2-ranked MSc in Financial Management program. His PhD research examines how information systems — from governments to corporations to entire civilizations — respond with differing capacity and structured agility to absorb and survive disruption, and how AI will put so many of modern human civilization's building blocks to the test. He is an active YPO and LIFE member.
